Logen - 9 months

Ok, so this is a week late, but I was waiting until today when he had his doctor's appointment for his 9 month check up.

Height: 32 inches
Weight: 24 lbs, 12 oz
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: mostly 12 month clothes, but 18 months for PJs and some shirts.

Food: Logen LOVES to eat! Surprise, surprise! He's pretty much completely eating "real" food and only eats one stage 2 container of either green beans or sweet potatoes right before bed. He still takes 4-6 oz of formula before morning nap, afternoon nap, evening nap, and bedtime! He also still eats like crazy (4 oz bottles) every time he wakes up during the night. He's down to usually only getting up twice, but when he's teething (like now) or not feeling well, it can be as much as four times a night. I very much look forward to when he sleeps through the night!!!!! That will be a great day/night!!!

Toys: Logen, you are really starting to show us your personality and interests. You LOVE ballball (football) and your Daddy couldn't be prouder. You have tons of footballs and love playing with them. You are also completely infatuated with super heroes, mostly Thor! Again... Daddy is beyond thrilled!

This month, you got your first haircut. Mommy attempted to cut it herself and failed miserably! So we went out and bought some clippers and now you look so grown up!!!

Teething- Yay!!! You are literally getting your very first tooth in as we speak! You've been wrestling with this tooth coming in for a good month or so, but it finally broke through and you, poor thing, cannot understand what is going on and why you feel so horrible. You poor thing!

Logen, this month you have also mastered crawling, and you are EVERYWHERE!!! I love how mobile and independent you are! I love sitting on the floor, holding out my arms, and seeing you race towards me! Sweetest thing!!! And starting this past weekend, you have moved from pulling yourself up on toys and furniture to standing all by yourself. You'll only do it for 10-15 seconds, but that's really a pretty long time if you think about it. Next step is WALKING!!! Yay!

Talking: Logen, you are so vocal! Daddy and I were convinced you wouldn't talk as much and as early as Page, but we were wrong! You are always talking. You are gaining quite the vocabulary. So far we have: Da (Dad), Ba (bottle or any food), Pa (Page), ballball (football), hey, hi, and FINALLY Ma (Mom).

Logen, you are becoming such a big boy and you change every day! You are the sweetest and most affectionate little boy. Mommy, Daddy, and Page all love you more and more everyday! I can't wait to see what new and exciting things you show us this month!

We love you, Baby Boy!

Random Hustedt Fun

Here are just a few random pictures from the last week!

Page's picture she made for Steve while he was gone.

We missed you, Daddy!

The first night Steve was gone, I watched Gabriel so Sarah and Michael could go out on a date (since they help us out going on dates all the time). We decided McDonald's would be a great way to spend the evening!

Logen fought one of our dining room chairs.... If you think this looks bad, you should see the other guy! Hahahaha

Side view

Logen enjoying his pizza!

Tonight Steve decided to make dinner! (So sweet!). Page helped!

Logen and I supervised!

Page loves to cuddle!

We are always having fun! Check back for more fun!!

Labor Day Fun

So today Steve had to leave for a three day work retreat. Since we knew how much we were all going to miss each other, we decided to have the best Labor Day together so we all had happy memories for while Steve was gone! It was successful!!!

We woke up and just relaxed around the house. It was nice to have a laid back morning. We all took our showers and got ready and this is what Logen and Page did while Steve and I got ready. They are so cute!

After we were all showered and ready to go, we left for our family lunch date! We went to eat at a family favorite... Old Chicago! It was yummy! Logen chowed down on TONS of fries!!!! Here's pictures of us at lunch.

After lunch, we had a little time before we were supposed to drop Logen off, so we decided to kill some time at Toys R Us. What were we thinking? We told Page we were just going to look for Christmas ideas and we weren't getting anything. Yea right! We managed to leave with JUST
one thing for both of them. Page got her Halloween costume: Strawberry Shortcake

and Logen got a Thor hammer that he used to club my knuckles while pushing the cart! He fell asleep with it in the car on our way to the Fernandez's house.

We dropped off the snoozing Logen with our daycare friend, Gabriel, and his mom, Sarah. We then headed to the mall for a movie!!!!

This was Page's first time out with just Mom and Dad since Logen has been born so it was very special. It was also Page's very first movie in the theater!!! We were all VERY excited. We bought our tickets for Cars 2 and walked in! The first thing we did was get snacks. Here is a very proud Page with her Kid's Pack!

Page did very well in the movie. She went to the bathroom twice and had to go outside and talk to Daddy for a couple minutes, but other than that, had tons of fun! Here are some pictures of us at the movies!

After the movie, Page and Steve saw a promo for the movie they are going to do their very first Daddy/Daughter Date for... The Muppets!!!

After picking up Logen and heading home, we all decided it was a great day!

We went home, ate dinner and relaxed for a little while. Apparently Gabriel wore Logen out playing with his police cars...

Because this is what Logen did as soon as we got home.

It was a great day and we already miss Daddy, but I will be keeping Page and Logen very busy these next two nights while Steve is gone. I'll blog on those later!

(I have two great videos to add, too, if I can figure out how to add them. If not, I'll just post them on FB).
